Solid carbide end mills

The all-new ALSP series is a highlight from the current tool development at WEDCO. These solid carbide cutters have been specially designed for roughing and finishing in aluminium materials with up to 12% Si content. For example, the flute chip spaces have been specially adapted for aluminium machining in order to handle a maximum of chips. Special chip breakers on the cutting edge also ease the removal of chips from the cutting zone.

A completely new DLC coating is used for the highest possible wear resistance. What catches the eye at first glance with its iridescent play of colours is simply a particularly effective coating technology that gives the tool an especially precise and sharp cutting edge with a very low coating thickness – ideal for non-ferrous machining. A special characteristic is the high hardness of approx. 6000 HV – that´s about twice as hard as conventional PVD coatings and thus enables the extremely high performance of these cutting tools.
