The new WHSC-series can be used as a high feed milling cutter as well as for trochoidal milling. Due to their face geometry, significantly higher tooth feed rates can be realized. Furthermore, they are particularly suited for trochoidal treatment as chip-spaces and peripheral edge-geometry are especially designed for side machining. When preparing the conceptual design, we focused on groove depth and -form to absorb a particular high chip volume. Thus, one tool change can be saved in programming and processing.
Furthermore, a balanced micro grain carbide grade is used in addition to the appropriate multilayer-coating in order to optimally execute both milling procedures and offer an extremely economically efficient package to the customers.
The VSO-treatment of the tool guarantees the perfect finish of the cutters geometry. It provides a very homogenous cutting-edge and reduces frictional effect and tendency of adhesion in the chip-producing part of the tool.
The WHSC-series cutters come in the diameter range from Ø4 to Ø16, suited for all main application purposes, as practical experience shows.
